Glossary - E

Elastomer macromolecular material which, at room temperature, is capable of recovering substantially in size and shape after removal of a deformong force. These macromolecules have an open network structure which do not undergo plastic flow even at high temperatures approching the point of chemical decomposition, but undergo reversible elastic deformation instead.
