Sika®-Cable Duct Fire Protection System

One of the major issues in shipbuilding is safety. For electrical engeneers, electrical technicians the planning and the installation of power supplies and cable bus systems is not that easy. The penetrations for power distribution have to be fire protected. To make this job easier and more efficient the Sika®-Cable Duct Fire Protection System has been developed. This efficient, fast and easy system meets the international fire protection safety standards. It is EU certificated by Lloyds Register and leading Classification Institutes for multi cable and busbar penetrations (Canalis® System). It is approved by TÜV Brandversuchshaus, Hamburg. And this systems meets SOLAS 1974, IMO Resolution A.754(18) A-60, A-30 and A-0 Class Divisions. The Sika®-Cable Duct Fire Protection System is easy to handle: all products are one compound, they can be applicated with common technique, they are easy to apply by hand, different sizes of ducts can be handled with one system. The application consists of only three steps. Further fire protection applications are: sealing and fire protecting of penetrations for tube systems, air conditionning channels, service-shafts.
